Functional and doesn’t require a dang subscription or pay per scan!! I have one suggestion mainly because I cannot figure it out lol. I would absolutely love a way to make the scan data watertight so when I export the STL it will need minimal modification before printing or importing into CAD. For some reason I am not able to get it to function properly in Solidworks (this is not a fault of this app ) which is a bit annoying because my main hope for this is to use it to generate reference geometries that I can model off of. I am certain there is a way to do it but I haven’t quite figured out the process. Nonetheless I absolutely am blown away with this app and it is everything I was hoping for when the iPhone X came out. The 12 pro just makes it perfect!
This is a game changer.
I’ve been using this app to take quick scans of a room and then be able to revisit those scans to pull measurements. I then use those measurements to order material. It is a great way to visualize the room while you are shopping for the materials. I am sure that you can find many other uses for this app. I am not sure if it allows you to import the files into blender, unreal, or any other app like that, but for what i use it for it is golden. Thank you, please keep up the great work because right now you are the best scanning app I’ve used to date. I would love a decimate feature that would allow us to simplify scans to the most basic geometry, but in an imperfect world you come through perfectly.
This app is incredible
I am a personal injury lawyer and often have to hire people to conduct 3D scans of smashed up vehicles, accident sites, etc. I just got a new iPhone with a lidar scanner and used this app to take a scan of a vehicle that was involved in a bad accident. I am totally blown away with the 3D model the app generated. All I had to do was walk around the vehicle pointing my phone at it and stick the phone through a window to capture the inside, and now I have a 3D model including the exterior and interior of the vehicle that I can take measurements from and use to consult with expert witnesses.
This is among the most incredible new features since smart phones were invented and is extraordinarily useful.

Как же бесят люди с устройствами без лидара и пишущие о том что у них не работает…
Просто берут и занижают рейтинг своим незнанием работы приложения.
Список поддерживаемых устройств
Почему в списке поддерживаемых устройств указаны все iPhone вплоть до 6, но приложение работает только на айфонах с лидаром?
Если, например, я хочу просто просмотреть 3д-скан на НЕпро айпаде, почему я не могу этого сделать?

Lack of Support
Looks very good and pleased with an initial scan. However, the app now appears to be stuck in a loop trying to «upload» the scan despite our having already been uploaded and converted with the proprietary system. Trying to now do a CAD export but can’t because of the hang up. There is no means within the app that I can find to get help with this, which is frustrating. I also had issues with the initial account setup. Seems like the tech is pretty good, but there is a distinct lack of support from the dev.

Great Organization
The folks at Canvas were more amazing of a resource than I would have thought possible. Knowledge, integrity and respect were my main takeaways of our interactions and that’s considering the fact that I was trying to utilize their app in a somewhat experimental manner. After our numerous conversations over email and video I was left requesting that they keep my contacts on file should the needs I have ever align with their business plans. I’m left satisfied with their product, help & goals and look forward to the next opportunity we have to work together. Such a great product and team.

1. Scandy Pro runs on an iPhone X, XS, XS Max, XR, 11, 11 Pro, 12 and 12Pro versions, and iPad Pro versions 2018 and later to create scans since it depends on the TrueDepth front-facing sensor.
2. Users may purchase a subscription for unlimited file downloads.
3. If deleted, a 3D model is not recoverable. Scandy Pro does not backup or store any data in the cloud.
4. Scandy Pro is GPU intensive! You may notice a slowdown after your 5th or 6th scan in succession. Your iPhone is smart enough to slow its processing down during repetitive intensive operations. Taking time between scans will offer better performance.
5. All 3D scan data, processing, and storage take place solely on-device in Scandy Pro. Scan as you please, privately.

Create 3D scans using the 3D camera (FaceID or LiDAR) of your iPhone 13, 13 Pro, 12, 12 Pro, 11, 11 Pro, XS, XR, X or iPad Pro! Export scans into STL, PLY GLB (glTF), share them and more. On other devices you can use the ordinary camera mode or the Screen Sharing feature.
The app is divided into two modes:

The scanner isn’t perfect and can fail when moving too fast or scanning a challenging environment (e.g. glass surfaces cannot be captured due to the nature of the TrueDepth sensor).
A NOTE FOR iPHONE 13 USERS: The iPhone 13 lineup introduced a new TrueDepth (FaceID) camera, which produces lower-accuracy results compared to older devices.

TL;DR: Apple doesn’t allow this yet.
I absolutely agree with you — I wish I could make it paid up front (it would save me a lot of time), but Apple wouldn’t approve the app or people with unsupported phones would get angry.
To create 3D scans, Heges requires that your iPhone or iPad has the 3D-sensing (TrueDepth) camera – the same one that is used by FaceID.
However, some older iPhones and iPads do not have these cameras (and are therefore unsupported). The problem is that Apple doesn’t allow developers to restrict apps only for the supported devices with FaceID (many developers, including myself, have written them more than 2 years ago about this, without resolution). This means that you are able to download Heges in the App Store also on unsupported devices such as the iPhone 6S. As a developer, I can only check if your iPhone/iPad is supported once you open Heges.
If I made Heges paid up-front, a person with iPhone 6S could purchase Heges, only to find out that it won’t run on their phone (because iPhone 6S doesn’t have the 3D (TrueDepth) camera) — I don’t know about you, but I would be infuriated.
So in order NOT to «scam» people with unsupported devices, I decided to solve this problem with In-App Purchases: when you open Heges, it checks if your device is supported. If it is, you will be able to buy it. If you have an unsupported device, the «Buy» button will NOT appear so that you cannot accidentally purchase it.

Best mobile 3D scanner for iPhone X
I’m kind of blown away at how well this scanner works. It’s not perfect however compared to what’s been available this is incredible.
The biggest issue is not the 3D scanning, its the “WiFi file sharing” feature. While I suppose this could be useful I really don’t understand why the developer doesn’t let you just share using the expected avenues such as email, iMessage, save to phone or air drop. I don’t even know what it means to wifi share a file is to be honest. I’m still not sure how to access the scanned data.
Still giving it 4 solid stars (assuming I figure out how to accept a shared WiFi file). The quality is really impressive and again, compared to what’s available, this is amazing.
Please polish and continue working out the bugs, this is a really promising app. Finally getting some use out if this iPhone X depth sensor!
you can access the exported files either via the iOS Files App (where you can share the exported files via Airdrop or send them via iMessage) or through iTunes File Sharing or finally via the Wi-Fi sharing. I didn’t include sharing via iMessage because of the file size as you correctly mentioned.
Wi-Fi sharing works like this: your iPhone needs to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the computer you want to download the models from. First you scan a model, then you export the model into PLY and/or STL formats and after that you click on the «Sharing» icon in the Library and press «Start sharing».

After clicking on «Start sharing», you can go to your computer and connect to your iPhone via a web browser by typing in the browser one of the addresses that are displayed in the «Start sharing» popup (in the image it can be for example http://Tmp.local or 192.168.1.189). After that a website should open with all of your *exported* models (models that you don’t export into PLY and/or STL won’t be displayed there) that you can download.

Best detail in a phone scanner I’ve used
I can’t seem to update my other review, so I’ll add to it here as Heges is my go to scanning app after trying nearly all of them in the store except those that charge insane amount to own the app or subscription fees. While it does have some issues tracking of objects if you try going around all sides, Heges is by far the app to capture the most amount of detail from the depth sensor. The others are either a fixed resolution, or give you the option for high definition, and even that doesn’t come close to the 0.5mm option Heges lets you scan at. This extra resolution is worth taking separate scans and stitching them together. For those that work with 3D, this has been a normal workflow for scanning for some time. But if Heges gets better tracking and repositioning of the scan, I’ll up it to 5 stars.

Hands down the best one on App Store
I don’t generally review things, but I literally tried and bought every scan app on the App Store, and this one is by far the best. The biggest complaint I had about the other apps is that you had to go super slow and be extra steady when scanning or you would instantly lose tracking. This apps tracking is good enough that you can move at a pretty brisk pace (within reason for 3D scanning of course) and it doesn’t skip a beat. Also most other apps lose tracking if you have your phone stationary and are moving the object in place, such as on a turn table. Never had an issue with that using Hedges. And for the small one time fee, it makes it even better since not only does it scan faster and more accurate, you don’t have to pay a subscription to save your scans, like most other apps. Definitely worth the small fee in my opinion.
