Термин «убийца флагманов» используется в основном по отношению к смартфонам, но иногда его можно применить и к другим гаджетам. Например, к наушникам Edifier NeoBuds Pro за 9,5 тыс. руб. с великолепным Hi-Res звуком (впервые у полностью беспроводных наушников), длительным временем автономной работы, активным шумоподавлением и привлекательным дизайном.
Финансирование навыпуск NeoBuds Pro было собрано через краудфандинговую площадку Indiegogo, и компании Edifier удалось выпустить действительно отличный продукт к своему 25-летию. Я пыталась выяснить, смогли ли Edifier NeoBuds Pro оправдать ажиотаж.
Характеристики Edifier NeoBuds Pro
Дизайн и внешний вид
Корпус Edifier NeoBuds Pro сделан из алюминия и пластика, и подобное сочетание оказалось очень удачным.
Хранится гарнитура в компактном чёрном чехле в форме гальки, не менее стильном, чем сами наушники. Чехол выглядит так, словно прибыл прямиком из сериала «Рыцарь дорог», – при открытии анимируется красная светодиодная полоска, и смотрится это классно.
Габариты футляра – 6,6×4,8×2,5 см, а масса – 39 грамм. Весят наушники по 5,3 грамма, длина корпуса – 3,3 см. Чехол чуть крупнее, чем у AirPods Pro, но при этом легче. Из-за того, что он довольно объёмный, спрятать его в карман не всегда просто. Сами наушники на несколько миллиметров длиннее AirPods Pro, но масса такая же. В ушах вы их чувствовать не будете даже спустя несколько часов использования.
В комплекте с NeoBuds Pro есть семь пар силиконовых насадок разного размера – невероятно много по сравнению со стандартными тремя парами у большинства конкурентных моделей. Вы точно сможете подобрать удобные для себя.
Управление и голосовой помощник
У Edifier NeoBuds Pro столько преимуществ, что в каких-то аспектах функциональность неизбежно пришлось урезать, чтобы сохранить разумной цену.
Жертвой стало сенсорное управление. Наушники поддерживают лишь двукратное и трёхкратное нажатия, когда реакция замедленная. Долгих нажатий и свайпов нет, поэтому вы можете совершить только четыре действия. А главное – нет управления воспроизведением, хотя можно регулировать громкость.
Управление в NeoBuds Pro ограничено, зато есть голосовой вызов виртуальных ассистентов Siri и Google. Конечно, по функциям эти наушники не сравнятся с конкурентами от Apple или Google, где помощники умеют даже сообщать, кто вам написал или позвонил. Однако, поддержка голосовых ассистентов точно не будет лишней.
Приложение для смартфона
Приложение Edifier Connect понравится далеко не всем, но в нём есть ряд полезных функций.
Здесь вы можете узнавать уровень заряда, переключаться между режимами ANC и настраивать звук через эквалайзер. Также есть Игровой режим, который чуть снижает задержку звука, хотя и не полностью. Для игр идеальным решением будут кабельные наушники, но NeoBuds Pro станут хорошей альтернативой.
Интерфейс приложения немного перегружен, а нижнюю панель занимает ссылка на онлайн-магазин компании. Пожалуй, лучшее приложение для наушников у Soundcore, но Edifier Connect может здесь посоперничать, если компания поработает над интерфейсом.
Активное шумоподавление
Наушники Edifier NeoBuds Pro поддерживают подавление шума громкостью до 42 дБ, что в два раза превышает показатели AirPods Pro и Nothing Ear 1.
Правда, при повседневном использовании разница в децибелах не будет существенной. Но, можете быть уверены, что сильный ветер или гул машин на дорогах не помешают вам наслаждаться любимой музыкой.
Усиливают эффект шумоподавления насадки, плотно сидящие в ушах и изолирующие внешние звуки естественным образом. Есть режим прозрачности, который благодаря шести микрофонам на двух наушниках, позволяет слышать всё происходящее вокруг.
Качество звука
А теперь самое важное и впечатляющее в Edifier NeoBuds Pro – мощные 10-мм драйверы от Knowles обеспечивают невероятное качество звука.
Они гарантируют как внушительные басы, так и отчётливые верхние частоты. Более того, NeoBuds Pro станут первыми полностью беспроводными наушниками с поддержкой звука Hi-Res благодаря кодеку LDAC от Sony. Правда, обновление выйдет только в начале 2022 года, так что необходимо немного подождать.
С другой стороны, многие смартфоны не поддерживают LDAC, поэтому придётся обходиться привычными AAC и SBC. Но, даже с ними любая музыка звучит потрясающе: все частоты воспроизводятся чисто, инструменты и вокал объёмнее, а бас энергичнее, чем у многих более дорогих наушников.
NeoBuds Pro легко справляются с любыми жанрами, будь то классические композиции Чайковского или современные хип-хоп треки.
Качество микрофонов
У Edifier NeoBuds Pro по 3 микрофона на каждом наушнике: один используется для захвата голоса, а другие два – для подавления шума.
Благодаря этому, для звонков по телефону наушники подходят идеально. Даже если, вы будете разговаривать на улице в ветреный день, собеседник без труда вас услышит. За связь здесь отвечает Bluetooth 5.0, а максимальный диапазон работы составляет 20 метров. Конечно, в квартире на такое расстояние рассчитывать не стоит, но и проблем со связью быть не должно.
Автономность Edifier NeoBuds Pro
Если верить Edifier, с включённым ANC одной подзарядки NeoBuds Pro хватит на 5 часов прослушивания, когда чехол обеспечивает ещё 15 часов.
Без активного шумоподавления показатели увеличатся до 6/18 часов. Есть функция быстрой зарядки – 15 минут в чехле дадут ещё 2–3 часа прослушивания. В плане автономности работы NeoBuds Pro превосходят как AirPods Pro (4,5 часа), так и Nothing Ear 1 (4 часа).
Беспроводные TWS наушники Edifier NeoBuds Pro впечатляют почти во всём. Качество звука изумительное даже по сравнению со многими более дорогими моделями, а стильный дизайн придаёт премиальный вид.
Есть здесь и активное шумоподавление, вместе с насадками нужного размера устраняющее все ненужные внешние звуки. Единственный недостаток – ограниченное управление через сенсорные панели, поэтому придётся привыкать. Во всём остальном NeoBuds Pro за 9,5 тыс. руб. практически идеальные наушники.
Стоит ли покупать
Edifier NeoBuds Pro с функциями динамического звука и хорошим ANC доказывает, что качественные беспроводные наушники не всегда стоят дорого.

Widget is not available? — Found
The app itself is decent. It’s much easier for changing modes than the dodgy multi/tap controls on the buds. Adjusting the tap sensitivity helps, but it’s still difficult to activate the control you want with taps. Not to mention difficult to remember the various combinations.
Was going to complain the widget was missing. But I located it at last. Apparently the widget selection screen on my phone is very unintuitive. (I haven’t cared about widgets at all till now, so I’m not so much familiar with it.)
Fairly good
I use them on my 12 hr shifts at work and they last about 10 hrs with out the noise canalization I just wish you had a setting so if you wanted it on every time or ambience mode on and not your noise one or if you wanted them both to be off by default
The reason it gets 3 stars is I don’t think this would be hard to have in the buds that cost as much as they do given there is an app to use with the buds there should be a way to have a file on the app that the headphones read right after they pair with the device and check to see if the app has been installed if so change default to the settings on that device
Suggested improvements
I have TWS NB2 earbuds. Overall, it’s nice to have an app to be able to make some adjustments to the headphones and see battery life. Suggested firmware updates would be volume control and ability to power on and off without using the case or app. Suggested app updates would be to allow user to customize earbud touch controls. Edifier TWS1 Pro Review | Just How Good Are The Upgrades!
Recently, Edifier came up with the Pro version of TWS1. So here’s an Edifier TWS1 Pro review. The Edifier TWS1 Pro features new upgrades including the 2nd Gen aptX HD high sound quality and aptX low latency along with aptX adaptive. The credit goes to the new Qualcomm QCC3040. Moreover, connectivity has been improved as well and we also see a couple of hours more in the battery life compared to the old TWS1. Other upgrades include quick charge, a titanium diaphragm, IP65, CVC 8.0 mic noise reduction, and lastly the Type-C port. So, let’s see if these upgrades are as good as they sound on paper. Let’s find out in this Edifier TWS1 Pro review.

Edifier TWS1 Pro Review – The Unboxing
Edifier TWS1 Pro comes inside a white square box. The earbuds are illustrated on the front. The model name is written on the bottom right side.
On the right side, the highlights of the earphones are illustrated.
While on the other side we have ‘Qualcomm aptX Adaptive‘ written as well.
The cover is removed by sliding and we have the glorious black textured box with the company logo on the front center.
Opening the box by pulling out the top lid, we have the Edifier TWS1 Pro charging case in which the earbuds rest.
After removing the charging case and the mid lid, there’s the accessories compartment.

Edifier TWS1 Pro Review – First Impression
When I first saw the charging case when opening the lid, I was shocked because of the weird cloud gray color of the case which they call dark grey. The same color is of the earbuds. Honestly, the previous TWS1 was in white and black which were pretty liked and common colors. However, this dark grey color is simply weird.
Edifier TWS1 Pro Review – Design & Appearance
Moving to the aesthetics section of this Edifier TWS1 Pro review, the color, and built quality is the same as the charging case which is dark grey and plastic respectively. The little red dot on the side is the indicator light, blinking red and blue, two colors. The position of the three short lines (edifier logo) is the touch key, which involves functions such as pairing and volume adjustment.

Edifier TWS1 Pro Review – Comfort & Wearing Experience
These earbuds are completely in-ear earphones with no stalk. The design is similar to the Edifier X3 and the previous TWS1. I do see many people saying that the half in-ear tws earphones are much better in the fitting. However, if you have seen my QCY T5 review, you have noted that I have a tough time adapting to the half in-ear earbuds because the stalk simply annoys me. That’s not the case with Edifier TWS1 Pro.
These earbuds are super lightweight, fit my ears perfectly with the ‘M’ ear tips. They are much comfortable while running than the QCY T5 and don’t fall off. Moreover, with the upgraded IP65 certification from the IPX5. IP65 is dustproof and waterproof (6 for dustproof, and 5 for waterproof) but IPX5 on the Edifier TWS1 has only marked the waterproof level. That is why they can be used in the rain, gym (sweatproof). However, since these aren’t IPX8 or IP68, I won’t recommend them for water activities like swimming.
Edifier TWS1 Pro Review – Charging Case
As said, the charging case is of dark grey color which isn’t truly dark grey but a bit cloudy grey and this color choice are weird. Honestly, I’m not concerned with the color choice and design for this much price as long as the earbuds are comfortable. Anyways, coming back to the charging case, we have a front single LED which indicates the charging status. It turns on red while charging.
The case design is also a traditional rectangular shape which does feel a bit cheap. The hinge is tight and can be opened up to 90 degrees. The left and right earbuds are marked by the word ‘L’ and ‘R’ on the case.
Yet the best aspect about this charging case is the upgrading from MicroUSB to Type-C port which is the most common interface these days.
Edifier TWS1 Pro Review – Hardware & Performance
Starting with the chip, we have the new Qualcomm QCC3040 audio chip and upgrade from the previous Qualcomm QCC 3020 chip found in TWS1. This is why it brings the 2nd gen aptX HD, aptX low latency, and most importantly, aptX adaptive (SBC).
As for the connectivity, this is one of the first TWS earbuds to use the latest Bluetooth 5.2. I’ll describe why this isn’t that much of a deal in the connectivity section.
For the unit material, we have a 6nm Titanium diaphragm, a better option than the previously used diaphragm.
Edifier TWS1 Pro Review – Sound Quality
Now coming to the actual part of this Edifier TWS1 Pro review which is the sound quality. Because of the new titanium diaphragm, the vocals are more clear now. That is why clarity is the greatest highlight of these earbuds. The separation of the different frequencies and vocals is incredible. Similar to the TWS1 and other Edifier earbuds, the treble is great at generating a brighter sound.
The mids (guitar, strings, drums, and violins) are brighter than the Edifier TWS1 and X3 which brings some liveness to the music.
The lower mids do hold back, but the bass is there to cover them up. It doesn’t shoot up to the ears but is pretty controlled and with the sub-bass added it’s simply magnificent (darker and deeper).
It easily levels the FIIL T1 Lite, but FIIL T1 Lite has slightly more details and well-tuned sub-bass. Read my FIIL TWS1 Pro review here. Meanwhile, Edifier TWS1 Pro has more clarity and brightness to it.
As for the delays, most TWS earbuds have a high latency of around 300 to 400 ms. That is why the sound reaches a bit late to the user’s ears which is the most annoying thing especially while you are gaming or watching a movie. For that most earbuds offer a gaming mode to improve the latency. However, that’s not the case with the Qualcomm chip-powered TWS. The low latency is by default without any specific gaming mode. The old TWS1 had a latency of around 70 to 80 ms, however, the new TWS1 Pro with the 2nd Gen aptX reaches a super low latency of 40 to 60 ms.
Edifier TWS1 Pro Review – Talking / Call Quality
Calling on a cheap TWS earbud is a nightmare most of the time. Edifier TWS1 Pro similar to other cheap TWS has an average microphone. The voice is much clear than QCY T5, however, that’s just limited to indoors. Outdoors, it easily catches the background noise. The CVC 8.0 technology does decrease the noise up to 20% but still, that isn’t enough. The sound is soft when speaking through the microphone.
Edifier TWS1 Pro Review – Connectivity
Okay, Edifier TWS1 Pro uses Bluetooth 5.2 module which is cool since rarely do we see the use of the latest version of Bluetooth in cheap TWS. However, there’s a thing to this. To use Bluetooth 5.2, your device must also have Bluetooth 5.2 which is too rare and limited to a few flagship phones. Mostly, we see phones with Bluetooth 5.1.
However, even if you are on Bluetooth 5, the range or transmission over distance is incredible. I was able to hear the sound without any interference, from my earbuds even when I was 9 meters away from the phone. 10 meters is the max range advertised.

So the functions and features are really basic except for the SBC, aptX HD, and mirroring technology. There’s no need for a gaming mode since the latency is already incredibly low. However, I do miss the volume touch sliding in functions and ANC which are found in more premium TWS earbuds.
Edifier TWS1 Pro Review – Battery Life
The greatest highlight of this Edifier TWS1 Pro review is the battery life of these earphones. The battery life has increased from 8+24 hours of TWS1 to 12+30 hours in the pro version, which means that the earbuds last for 12 hours which is the same time as the much expensive Galaxy Buds, and the charging box can provide 30 hours more after charging them 2.5 times. So in total, we have 42 hours of battery life.
Honestly, I don’t use that many earbuds every day. One thing I can tell is that after 2 hours of PUBG mobile, my earbuds battery dropped only 9%. I only use earbuds 3 to 4 hrs a day. So I had to recharge my earbuds after 3 to 4 days.
Edifier TWS1 Pro charging speed is also quite incredible. With the fast charging introduce. The earbuds take almost half the time taken by the old TWS1 to reach from 0 to 100%. This charging time is around 40 minutes now only.
